Heeey,
When I always try to copy/move something (w/ drag ‘n’ drop style) from desktop to a folder opened in Dolphin, it opens the menu “What do you wanna do? Copy, Move, Link to here or just Cancel?” it is the same menu on windows when u copy/move something with right mouse button. I just wanna move something from desktop so I press shift while dragging to the place on dolphin then drop, but that menu come across to me Any idea? (kde 4. and I disabled one mouse click property) Thanks
Grab the file. Drag to location, now hold shift and let go of the mouse button. That will move it.
Drag from start to finish with Ctrl to copy.
eheheh I think it’s because of my english or something, it is exactly what I told above :
“I just wanna move something from desktop so I press shift while dragging to the place on dolphin then drop, but that menu come across to me”
You need to work from within Dolphin. Personally I no longer use the Desktop as a location because it’s not a Desktop in the old sense of the word. You can use folder view, which may help.
This is how I have Dolphin - split screen and columns. Works great for drag and drop:
