Configure Xonar Essence STX II on Opensuse 12.3

Hi,

I’m trying to install a Essence STX II on my (old) 12.3 opensuse. Installation on a new system Leap 42.1 have been sucessfully terminated and have keep the sound.conf file to copy on my old system… (it’s only a test…)

I can work correctly this card also on Opensuse 12.3 or need absolutely a upgrade ?

I have disabled Pulse Audio in 12.3.

After i have copied the 50-sound.conf file on 12.3 the Yast Sound configuration on 12.3 show correctly the Xonar STX II and permits to set as primary card but not works… Alsamixer on 12.3 don’t start when STX is configurated as primary sound card (show a error message and not start…)

Card is not visible in 12.3 system using following command:

linux-py75:/ # cat /proc/asound/cards
1 [PCH ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel PCH
HDA Intel PCH at 0xfbc20000 irq 57

?? STX there is not … only onboard audio is detected…

My 50-sound.conf file on Leap 42.1. (DONT WORK in 12.3 ??)

options snd slots=snd-virtuoso,snd-hda-intel

u1Nb.vJoKilYFVk8:6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio Controller

alias snd-card-1 snd-hda-intel

rChK.5NHBPujrHKC:Virtuoso 100 (Xonar Essence STX II)

alias snd-card-0 snd-virtuoso

Someone can help me  Thanks!
