Dear all,
I would like to ask you if it is possible to make vlc to “understand” my keyboards next and prev buttons. These buttons are recognized by kde control center but I fail to see where to configure vlc to react when I press those.
Could yhou please help me ?

As allways, you should at least provide information on what level of the software conecerned you are speaking. What openSUSE level. etc.
Although the specific question highly relies on specialized hardware support (keyboard’s special buttons), you may find these kinds of configurations in the advanced settings
