configure Internet?

Hey Bro, Its me here! again…!

I** Install Open Suse 11.0 successful…! **

Now how to configure Internet in it?

I have BSNL’s UT-300R2U Modem connected with Ethernet on PC’s Motherboard Lan.

I have Intel Orig. DG33 Motherboard.

Please HELP Me with this.

You need to find the ip address of the modem and make sure your connection is on the same network (isually 192.168…)
Set the modem ipaddress to be the gateway and dns server address in yast>network devices

You shall provide more information to analyze.

cat /var/log/messages

ifconfig

route -n

This Howto might assist you:

http://opensuse.swerdna.org/susenic.html

If, after reading Swerdna’s article you are still having problems, please post
the information asked for by df6269.

/sbin/ifconfig -a
/sbin/route -n
and also
cat /etc/resolv.conf

You can conceal any sensitive IP’s by substituting values if you feel the
need.
