Do you have / are you able to use a wired ethernet connection to install some packages?
In particular make sure you have kernel-firmware and zd1211-firmware
where can i get the firmware for this device

ya i am using a ethernet connection to solve the problem. how can i solve it out. i have tried a lot of times by disconnecting the ethernet and tried to connect through the belkin device

i have also downloaded and added the two firmwares RT2870_v22 and ZD1211
Start by clicking the network icon > then in the box that appears > Manage Connections
Viewing the Wireless Tab, delete any entries you have
Next click Add > Wireless

Can I also ask. Did you let kwallet manage your passwords? It’s important that you do this.
But my status is little different wireless, mobile broadband, add, edit all options are disabled.
