Configuration viability?

I have an old 386 pentium II with 192MB Ram, running Win98. It has 2 hard drives, the original 3GB and a 13GB which I added myself. I have it networked via an ethernet switch to my newer pc which has a DSL connection.
I have successfully burned an OS11.0 Gnome live CD which seems to load onto the old box o.k. but I cannot acheive a network connection. It also runs sluggish.
Is it simply not going to happen on the old box with what it has or does not have? Is more info required?
Thanks.

Hi
You might want to try xfce4 as it’s a lighter WM. For network problem,
post over in the network/internet forum.
