After being discharged from the military, I’m enjoying going back to college. As I’ve finally satisfied the core curriculum classes I’ll be going into my comp sci classes. For those who are currently pursuing your degree or already have one, what were some of the things you enjoyed learning? Conversely, what did you not enjoy? I’d like to hear any experiences.

A particularly good series on the theory of computing which has stood me in good stead ever since.
One of the best bunches of students I’ve had the privilege to be part of (even our tutors said we were outstanding as a group)
The chance to deal with real life problems - half of my course was working for a client on a problem faced by the company.

Sounds like a good experience. There isn’t a better way to get a handle on things. Real-life experience counts for a lot.
