Computer freeze complete

Hello,
if I execute a KDE program my computer freeze complete. Here an example for kmail:

Console output:
~ kmail
Found only the dummy module in speech-dispatcher. No text to speech possible. Install a tts module (e.g. espeak).
[0810/124821.171067:WARNING:stack_trace_posix.cc(699)] Failed to open file: /home/user/#1077411120 (deleted)
Error: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden

If I start a KDE program inside a terminal the terminal freeze complete. After that, if I click on the Menu-Button the system freeze complete.

Anybody an idea?

The problem is only available in a plasma (wayland) session.

This usually is the result of not using ‘zypper dup’ to upgrade, but the updater applet or YaST or ‘zypper up’. Run ‘zypper dup’ , reboot, and see if the issue persists.

Here in update to my problem:

It seems that baloo file indexer is not the source of the problem. If I disable baloo the problem is not gone.

If I login from another computer per ssh I can see this error in .local/share/sddm/wayland-session.log:

  Error: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden

      after 625 requests (621 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

What can I do to find the source of the problem?

After zypper dup (20180820) again, the problem is gone. I can start Kmail again.

In future, to save headaches change that to “I use zypper dup ONLY…”:wink:
