The new KDE 4.2.1 runs just fine on my opensuse 11.1.
The new KWIN has native compositing effects which are for me just fine so I don’t need to use Compiz anymore.
Compiz has some additional eye-candy features I don’t need, so I’m happy with KWIN alone.
But what about Gnome ? I also use gnome on my pc but this one uses Metacity.
Has this version also native Compositing support ?
How can one turn this on or off and how to set effects if any exists ?
I don’t want to break things down since my box is running fine for the moment.
