Is the compose key facility available in 16.0/kde? I can’t see a way to enable it.
Are you referring to the “settings” for its usage?
If yes, I think it is probably related to an understanding about the KDE version that is used by Leap 16. (KDE 6 vs KDE 5 used in 15.6).
It’s also possible I don’t understand what you’re looking for … however, see if this works.
- In KDE Plasma, open up System Settings.
- In the left-pane list, select Keyboard
- On the right side, where the Keyboard settings are, at the upper right, tap on the Key Bindings.
- Now, if you wish, in the Search field, you can type “compose” and it will show things related to settings for Compose.
.
Thank you, that was the answer. And it even works under wayland!
Good that we found the quick and easy solution ![]()
Leap 16 obviously uses KDE Plasma version 6 (15.6 uses version 5) … so the System Settings have many new options, and obviously, some have been re-arranged. So, you (as many other 15.6 Plasma users) will have to become familiar to the KDE upgrade.
