When installing COMPIZ on KDE 4.3.5 and Opensuse 11.2 64 bit, I get the following error message: "compiz-kde4-0.8.4-167.x86_64 requires compiz = 0.84, but this requirement cannot be fulfilled. Is there any way to resolve this issue, and is the problem missing repos?
Instead of using the 1-Click install, why not follow this path:
YaST > Software > Software Repositories
Hit The Add button at the Bottom Left And select the following options:
Repository Name: XGL
Protocol: HTTP
Server Name: download.opensuse.org
Directory on Server: /repositories/X11:/XGL/openSUSE_11.2/
Hit OK and Accept and import the certificate if asked. Then Go to:
YaST > Software Management
Search for Compiz, check the file it finds and allow it to be loaded for you.

FYI
Compiz is not necessary in a kde system and you will have to loose kde-pure
I tried the above method. However, after installation, when running the ccsm --replace command, I get an error message which states that there is no such command. Also, I am told that the sexy-python package is missing, though i cannot find it in any of my repos.
