That will not help you as long as you overwrite xorg to use a graphics
driver without 3d acceleration (you have nv in xorg.conf this driver has no
glx).
What happens if you simply remove your xorg.conf and reboot?

Can you show me if your nvidia driver has been installed at all with the
output from
rpm -qa '*nvidia*'
The output should look like that
nvidia-computeG02-275.21-7.1.x86_64
nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-desktop-275.21_k2.6.37.1_1.2-6.1.x86_64
x11-video-nvidiaG02-275.21-7.1.x86_64
I checked at nvidia.com that the 275.21 driver which is in the nvidia repo
(that is what the one click uses) is indeed compatible with the gt 540m.

No do not delete the xorg.conf.d, check if you have a plain xorg.conf file,
if yes delete that and only that (sorry I somehow missed that you edited in
xorg.conf.d).
But give the output of the rpm command I gave you first to see if your
nvidia driver is in place at all.

DID YOU MEAN I INSTALL THE DRIVER FROM WEB SITE NVIDIA?
ok man i check the output of your in my install/remove software
all of theme check installed successfully
i need t solve the problem
only i doing was to install with easy method one click in init 5
with install kernal source , gcc , make before i start install the nvidia driver
after install sucess
i make reboot
it one help me please …
You do not have a /etc/X11/xorg.conf so that is not the problem.
Please revert your change you made in the xorg.conf.d device file (where you changed the driver to nv). If you want to try to change it at all you need to write “nvidia” instead of “nv”.
Did you make any other changes like changing the boot parameters and if yes which one?
Under normal circumstances the installation via the repositories just succeeds and you do not need to do anything else.
Since something failed for you you might first check if blacklisting noveau and disabling KMS helps it is described here
SDB:NVIDIA the hard way - openSUSE
ignore the rest at this link at the moment.
If this still does not help, I would consider to go fully through the “hard way” and install the newest nvidia driver form nvidia.com (it is version** **285.05.09). If you do that you need to remove first all the nvidia rpm’s you have now.
hahaaha i found the problem
i return to xorg.conf.d i nthe path etc/X11
Note that i using 11.4 X64
10-evdev.conf
11-mouse.conf
50-device.conf
50-device.conf.rpmsave
50-monitor.conf
50-screen.conf
50-synaptics.conf
50-vmmouse.conf
50-wacom.conf
90-keytable.conf
.50-device.conf.swp
.swp
I OPEN IT IN THE INIT 5 GUI TERMINAL
DID I NEED TO DELETE SOMTHING
I KNOW THE IMPORTANT THINK IS :
50-device.conf
how i can delete them:
50-device.conf not deleted becouse it is general files
50-device.conf.rpmsave
.50-device.conf.swp
.swp
what is mean ?
xorg.conf.d
xorg.conf.d.swap
.xorg.conf.install
ok i delete of recent now be default like the following :
10-evdev.conf
11-mouse.conf
50-device.conf
50-monitor.conf
50-screen.conf
50-synaptics.conf
50-vmmouse.conf
50-wacom.conf
90-keytable.conf
.swp
now what i do is to change #driver “radeon” to “nvidia” value
or add like that :
#driver “radeon”
driver “nvidia”
please replay if someone can help >>>>

That makes me suspect you have some optimus (nvidia and intel graphics card
which can be switched).
I know this is not too well supported in linux.
Can you check if that is the case? If yes you should open a new thread about
that in the proper forum (you reported your problem here in the application
forum, whereas it should be in hardware or multimedia).
I am myself not at all familiar with the optimus technology since I own no
device that has it.
