compiz and window picker

Hi all!
I run OpenSuse 11.2 on my laptop with compiz. I love the effects, i love the compiz tools, makes things easier i only have a little problem with the window picker applet. It’s like compiz forget to save settings for win picker cause when i restart system the applet simply wont work. I setup the upper right corner for windows picker (all windows), works great after doing the settings, next time i start suse its still checked in ccsm, but it wont work.
Any ideas?

Regards, NuKe

P.S.:I run KDE 4.3.5

Hi Nuke,

As Kwin already has a lot of functionality that compiz does, I would highly recommend using it over compiz, since compiz is not very well integrated into KDE 4. However, I can still try to help.

Could you please open a terminal and provide the output of typing:

rpm -qa --last "*compiz*"

This will help me check and make sure you don’t have mixed packages.

Take Care,

Ian

Hi Lan!

First of all thanks for your quick reply. Here’s the output:

Hope that helps

Haha, the only bad thing about the fonts in here is that a capital i looks like a lower case L.

Anyways, you have all the right packages. I would suggest trying to start with a new .compiz folder. Switch your window manager back to Kwin (if you don’t know how to do this ask), then to quote malcomlewis from another thread on this:

Take Care,

Ian

Lol, I am such a dumb

So IAN thanks for your help, will try that asap

Thank you again, have a nice day;)
