Hi,

I have compiled some codes ofmine with gfortran and I am satisfied. But I need to have ifort too:

  1. Don’t they make any conflict if I have them together?

  2. How could I install ifort?

YaST>Software>Software management

If it does not appear in Search, you may have to add a repository. There are several threads on ifort in these forums - so do a search if you cannot get the answer immediately.

  1. There is no conflict having both the Intel ifort and gfortran compilers on the same computer.

  2. I do not believe you can find the ifort compiler in any repository, as it is closed source from Intel. You may get a free version of it depending on what you are using it for from Intel® Software Development Products. Look for the “Free Non-Commercial Download” section.
