community site reported as Attack Site -Nvidia help

Does anyone know why opensuse-community.org is reported as Attack Site?

Just did fresh install and would like to use the one click repositories from opensuse-community, though I am not allowed.

Thanks

Yes.
There are other threads on this. It’s being sorted.

What oneclick/s did you need?

nvidia is most important, currently scrolling is really bad.

Assuming this is 11.2

Open a terminal and become su -
Do the following:

zypper ar -f http://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.2/ nvidia
zypper ref

accept the key/licence

Now close the terminal and open Yast - Software Management
The driver should be added automatically for install.
Accept

Works perfectly…

Thank you very much!!!

You are most welcome

You made my day, works like a charm!

Thank you very much for all your help.

Happy to help - Enjoy openSUSE

I just need to know when the kde 4 codecs.ymp is back up so I can run it on my spare machine, I am giving 11.3 a test run in another machine.

Tara,
The OSC got Restricted Formats in sometime Friday my local (CDT) complete with the .ymp you’re asking about.
To access the OSC site without problems temporarily uncheck Block Reported attack sites in Fx Preferences.

Never ever use the Oneclicks myself
No need to wait… follow my guide

I just use one clicks to make things a bit easier, consideing how long it can take to set up multimedia.

My two big issues with 11.3 is one: Graphics look like **** even without desktop effects enabled
and two: its a bit rough to set up now thanks to the community site being blacklisted.

consideing how long it can take to set up multimedia.

10 minutes is a long time.? That’s all it takes.

LOL maybe your color sensors have been marred by that other
linux

Setting up multimedia here takes less than 30 seconds;

sudo zypper in fluendo-codecs-complete-bundle-11-4.i386.rpm
fluendo-dvd-1.0.9-1.i386.rpm

Done and finished.

Yeh but it can be a bit of a pain, hey I do like having a simple set up to make things a little simpler.
I spend a lot of time testing out distributions, not just using Ubuntu you know

Hardly, I have other distributions that work just fine with no graphics issues… not just Ubuntu but Mandriva and yes even openSUSE 11.2, but nothing looks right with 11.3

I think its my graphics card, I have a intel i915 graphics card and it displays well no matter the distro except openSUSE 11.3

Using Ubuntu has nothing to do with it.

That issue has been resolved. It was a temporary thing, not really fair
to list that as an issue since it is resolved.
