Does your MC still show multiple prompts? Which term do you run it in?

Hmm, the situation of my MC is still the same as the screenshot above.

mc 4.8.31 on tumbleweed causes the problem, whether it is on WSL2 or not.
mc 4.8.27 on Leap 15.5 does not cause it.
Incidentally, 4.8.30 on Kali linux WSL2 does not cause it either.

I think it would be better to create a new post for the problem of mc.
