I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but here goes. I have a few kde3 apps installed on my kde4 11.2 system. I was wondering if there is a way to get the colour scheme that I use in kde4 to work with the kde3 apps (in particular amarok 1.4.10).
use krunner (Alt+F2) and issue “kcontrol”, this will start the kde3 control center and you can change colors to your preference. the window titlebar and frame is drawn by kwin4 and follows whatever you have set up there (as you probably already realized).
Thanks for the great info. Once I was able to get kcontrol up, I was able to install a similar kde3 colour scheme (after which I customized) and my system is pretty near the way I want it.
