i do not think that is gonna work for kwickdisc…i say that because
i just downed the .tgz and read the README…which gives instructions
to “make install” without going to root…so, it is gonna be
installed in the user’s home directory…SOMEwhere.
i GUESS in a folder named either kwickdisc or .kwickdisc but i’m not
going to compile and install it just to find out…for all i know it
is just a social engineering project to get me to install a trojan ;-(
hello “nnjond” that software is from 1999!!
are you SURE you wanna use it?
what is it that it offers that you do not already have in a default
install of whatever version of openSUSE you have installed?
NOTE: to all new Linux users, this is a widely held but incorrect
notion: All Linux software is hard to install and requires the user
to COMPILE and MAKE and INSTALL from an old-fashioned command line…
nnjond, IF you are using a modern version of openSUSE you can find
most anything you really need via YaST, and once installed it will
show up in your menu–automatic!!
lots of other ways are also available…i’d suggest you begin here:

have fun!

I often find “lost” software simply by opening the kickoff menu and typing the name of the app in the search box.
