Hi from Spain:
This is my first post in forum. I have used Suse from version 7 till today. Its the first time that I can start a profesional proyect using OpenSuse.
I need a few information that I cant find.
We are trying to install (a personalized) OpenSuse distribuion on 1.200 computers on an important spanish statement (that i cant tell, cause the proyect inst already approved) .
If proyect runs properly is possible that can extend to over 8.000 or more computers on differents official statements.
I was installed the standard 12.2 distribution. I was personalized KDE, installed software, Desktop themes, Wallpaper, KDM Theme, Bootsplash theme… etc…
I need to create a personalized CD/DVD installer using the installed apps, configs, created users etc etc.
I read dozens of post on different sites of using, Kiwi, Suse Studio, Autoyast… but isnt clear information for me.
Are there any “easy” guide to convert my installed system to an easy installer CD/DVD for multiple installations on many differents computers saving all mentioned data from my personal installation?
Lots, lots, lots of thanks.
PD. Do you think that I need to speak with Novell for this kind of purpose?
PD2. If runs properly, I can made a guide for public use in English and Spanish languajes… I promise.

Yes, those are the tools. Probably you will have to play a bit with them and choose. I don’t
know of a howto.
openSUSE 12.1 AutoYaST

I would say the same in Spanish, that I have no experience with that

Well, with SLES I understand you get a commercial contact, so you ask him directly. He would
have to make you an offer based on how many machines you are going to use, and I’m sure they
will be very interested.
