I installed OpenSuse in a GMT area and the clock was OK (I have it synchronised via ntp). Now I am a week in a CET area and the clock is always an hour forward when booting.
I have the hardware clock to local time (and so configured Yast), I changed the time zone in Yast to CET and, if I click on “synchronise now”, the time is corrected. But after rebooting, the clock is one hour forward, although Yast is still configured in the CET time.
By the way, if I remember correctly, if I do not correct the clock and reboot again, it advances another hour, so after four reboots without correcting the time, I would have the clock four hours forward!
I tried making hwclock --systohc , it gave no problems, but it did not solve the subject at all.
Yes, I also have Windows installed, but I have not booted it for several days. Anyway, Windows operates in local time so it should not interfere, should it?
In Yast, the box for “hardware clock set to UTC” is not ticked.
Thank you. I am using Factory, I have not upgraded for one week (I am away from home), so I must be in an intermediate point between Milestones 7 and 8 of OpenSuse 11.2.
