Click on link in Akregator & Kmail brings Konqueror to front

Hi

WHat I want is to be able to click in Kmail and Akregator and for it to open in an existing Konqueror window AND keep Konqueror in the background.

The opening in existing Konqueror works ok BUT Konqueror always comes to the front.

Changing focus stealing prevention seems to have no effect and I think I have my file associations set ok.

There are a few posts in other forums about this but no one has an answer that I can find.

Help please very frustrated.

P.S. When I used Firefox it would stay in the background no problem.

You could set the program preferences of kMail and aKregator:

Right click on the title bar, Advanced and you’ll see the options you want. If you tell those two programs to always stay on top, opening of links will keep Konqueror in the background.

Fair enough I suppose I can flip between desktops.

What I can’t understand is why Firefox can do it without any special settings when its not even a KDE app?

Alternatively it may be Konqueror that is set to stay on top. If it
even has such a setting.
