On my pc PC=Dell latitude E6510, RAM=8Gb, GPU=GT218 NVS 3100M, CPU=i7 Q 720 @ 1.60GHz, OS=opensuse 13.1 KDE= 4.14.1
and on my phone I would like to try clementine remote, this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.qspool.clementine remote
but it requires clementine 1.2.1…
https://www.clementine-player.org/it/
any hope to have it soon in stable repositories ???
or it is safe to install from factory??
manythanks, ciao
pier
solved installing the one in tumbleweed repo:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Tumbleweed/standard/
using one click install.
adding the factory repo a lot of update popped up, selecting only clementine didn’t worked, the one click install from tumbleweed worked fine… manythanks to tumbleweed guys
I hope you didn’t add the Tumbleweed repo to your system.
Better check that and remove it of necessary as it might give problems in the future, because you might end up with a mixed system between 13.1 and Tumbleweed.

Depends on what you mean with “stable repositories”.
It will never become part of the standard 13.1 repo (that’s frozen since the release), and it won’t be released as official update either (only bug and security fixes, no new versions).
clementine 1.2.2 is part of the multimedia:apps repo though. That would probably have been the best place to install it from.

manythanks, I only added to install clementine and then disabled:)
yes, I intend the repo I used until now to install clementine… maybe in 13.2…
…yesssss, manythanks, I will add this repo… http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/multimedia:/apps/openSUSE_13.1/
is it to use with caution?? so I use it only for clementine, or do you think it is enough reliable to use with all the multimedia software??
Well, and what repos did you use until now?
Btw, it is not part of KDE:Current or KDE:Extra either (like Amarok), because although it is based on Amarok1 it is no KDE application. It only uses Qt4.
But yes, 13.2 will ship with clementine 1.2.2 (unless there is an update until the release, but I doubt that…).

I never really had problems with it.
It contains updated versions of most multimedia stuff in openSUSE.
But YaST/zypper/update applet should not update automatically to those packages anyway because of the “vendor stickiness”.
If you would add Factory e.g. that would be different because Factory has the same vendor as the standard 13.1 repo (“openSUSE”).
But you probably have to add multimedia:libs as well, as that contains newer libraries which the apps are built against.
Otherwise you might get dependency conflicts. But I’m not sure if it’s necessary for clementine.
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/multimedia:/libs/openSUSE_13.1/
…good news… in a month I will upgrade to 13.2 …
I installed both
URL: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/multimedia:/apps/openSUSE_13.1/

installed clementine from them and clementine and clementine remote works fine…, manythanks
