Clementine "clicks"

openSUSE 13.2 64bit KDE 4.14.9

Nothing baffles me more than audio settings. My favourite music player is Clementine, but when I play certain mp3 files I hear occasional clicking sounds that are not there if I use mpv or kaffeine. I am using pulseaudio as I was not able to configure Skype without using it, and frankly it makes adjustment easier. When I invoke aplay -L I get…

I do not use the HDMI output and could gladly disable it as long as it didn’t affect anything else.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Since the songs play fine using other players it must be a problem with either clementine or the codec provider. I am using the same system as you and my clementine install uses gstreamer-0_10-fluendo-mp (from download.opensuse.orgupdate13.2-non-oss). If you don’t have this installed perhaps install it and see if it solves the problem.

After that I would try removing clementine and the config files at .kde4\config\clementine and then do a reinstall.
