I’ve been installing a lot of games that didn’t work. Now I’m in the process of uninstalling them again. Those that don’t work that is. But many of these games also installed a lot of libraries that are now useless since the games are uninstalled. How do I get rid of those? Is there a tool that can help find packages on my computer that is now longer used and then remove them?

If you installed using the gnome version of yast, in 11.3, yes, there is a new feature for undoing
installs. There is also a new feature in zypper for cleaning installs, not very much tested. Yast in
kde doesn’t have it, AFAIK.
Otherwise, there are scripts around that may help.

There’s a program called **rpmorphan **and is available in the packman repository. But be ware! If you find a program which can find packages that aren’t dependencies of other packages that doesn’t mean there not needed/wanted!
