I have a system with kde plasma installed and I installed cinnamon to try it out but when I log out of kde and into cinnamon I have just a desktop and right click options. There is no task bar or anything. I installed it with sudo zypper in cinnamon then I tried sudo zypper in -t pattern cinnamon and I had a file that I had to overwrite called I think it was a dbus daemon. Either time I installed it wouldnt show a task bar.
csd-smartcard segfaults in dmesg.
Also none of the windows I open with right click have a way to close them.
does Cinnamon still do this if you try with a fresh user account?
yes but this time it opened a welcome window.
I’d say that probably needs a bug report then.
