OpenSuSE 13.1 32-bit (Freshly upgraded)
kernel-desktop from suse repos (3.11.10-11-desktop)
Initial install (I think it was 12.1) from DVD was with Gnome.
So I zypper dup’d up to 13.1 as per https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:System_upgrade. I installed NVIDIA blob (337.25) in runlevel 3 and rebooted. I then proceeded to upgrade any packages that needed it, then I installed cinnamon from the repo using the one-click install (.ymp as per https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Cinnamon). I saw I still had some old packages from my previous version of cinnamon so I removed what I did stumble across.

Tried zypper dup (yes, it did remove a bunch of packages), zypper up, zypper inr, etc.
And yes, rendering works:

The problem is: Everytime I attempt to load cinnamon, it looks as if it’s attempting to do so and then goes to fallback mode immediately after. Panel is missing up top. I do, however, have right click dialog (with the usual fare of options, including opening terminal). Aside for this, everything is terribly broken. I can still open games such as Heroes of Newerth just fine and 3d seems to work- just not Cinnamon itself.
When I try to use “cinnamon --replace” from Gnome/GDM, I get the following error:

I tried re-installing a ton of Gnome packages, all of the Cinnamon packages, but to no avail. The problem still persists. Gnome seems to function somewhat fine although the font looks excessively large (e.g. on a 1920x1080 screen, Arial about size 28 or 32?).
Normally I try not to pester you fine folks about things like these and love to figure it out on my own but this time around I am just pulling my hair out trying to figure this issue out. Could someone please help? Please let me know if there’s any other log I could provide information from.
