I’m using Opensuse 15.2 with the Cinnamon DE. Is there an app which reminds you that there is a new update? I thank you for your response!
I am on Tumbleweed and I do not use any notifications for my updates but it comes with package-update-indicator. As the name suggests it notifies you about updates.
Can you find something similar in the Cinnamon menu by typing?
