search constructed in seconds and returns 829 hits in less than a
second more:

I did
i have been using " term site:http??? " for years and years

most forums have very bad search engines

but Google/linux also dose a nice job

Thanks a lot. Really. Cinepaint is such a bear to install from the tar. I’m baffled by things like “sed” no working, i.e. I’m not convinced the tar files even work.

What would really be great is if someone could get the CVS going. I get bogged down in the autotools, namely the autogen.sh. Basically, I can’t get the buildconf to work, which in turn is needed for the autogen.

The repository is working fine. Finally I have 16 bit capability on linux.

OT but
for things in cvs and svn
it normally is

autoreconf -v -i

I’ll put the CVN on the back burner for now, but the autogen.sh was in their instructions. If you go to the site, there is text for a CVN. I just copied it and made it an executable file. I don’t know if that makes a difference.
