Chromium - unstable

I recently removed Goggle Chrome because it was very unstable under Suse 12.2, it would cause Suse to log-off with any flash content and with some pages whose content or message error of any kind is reported or written on any log.

I followed some steps to remove Chrome and install Chromium but it’s the same, I have no extensions or plug-ins installed of any kind, the flash plug-in was de-activated. I prefer Chrome/Chromium over other browsers, anybody found a solution ?

Thank you

I know of no issue with Chrome and or the need to deactivate flash. In any case Chrome has Pepper Flash built in and now Packman is supplying Pepper Flash for Chromium.

Did you try “chromium-pepper-flash” from packman ?

yes, I made sure pepper-flash was installed. I searched before starting this thread and found an user witht he same problem, but it got solve for him when he un-installed Chrome and installed Chromium.

I disabled all plug-ins and now it doesn’t makes me ‘log-off’. The only error message I was able to get was from running it from the command line on a page with a ‘flash’ content, it returned a ‘division by zero’ error before logging off, there were other messages above but I couldn’t read them.

you can try collecting logs like this. Don’t know whether it would work

$chromium > text.txt 2>&1

I am on Suse 13.1 with Gnome - SAME exact issue with Chromium - forces Logoff sporadically.
