Is it only me, or some1 else experience this?

Hmm ok.
Does anyone else use chromium v79 on tumbleweed?

No problems here with the latest version:

chromium-79.0.3945.117-1353.2.x86_64.rpm

from here:

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/network:/chromium/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/x86_64/

I typically upgrade the package two or three times a week and haven’t noticed any problems.

Using the latest snapshot and kde plasma

Thanks!
I’ve tried the version you are using, still the same. seems like the problem is in my ~/.config or ~/.cache

It’s the presence of a Chromecast or Google Cast device on the network that causes the crash.

Here’s the bug report:

https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1160068

So until this is fixed, unplug your Chromecast…or use Firefox.

Great catch!

I’d gladly keep using firefox, but it doesnt have decent session manager extension since quantum switch.
I’ve just did snapper rollback and froze the chromium version at 78 in yast. and then updated again.
