Chromium Not Working

I’m on tumbleweed and chromium does not work.

uname -a
Linux Tumbleweed.home 4.7.3-1-default #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Sep 8 13:08:03 UTC 2016 (7ad9c1d) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

chromium --version
Chromium 53.0.2785.116

Every time I open chromium I get a message “Aw, Snap! Something went wrong with while displaying this webpage.” I can’t access any web site. I’ve tried removing chromium as well as it’s cache and config folder and re-installing but no dice. It may have something to do with kwallet. Recently it started asking me for my kwallet password whenever I opened up chromium. Any advice on next steps would be helpful.

Thanks.

There are more posts about this, here and on the mailing lists. Use Chrome or start chromium with the “–no-sandbox” option as a workaround

I am using the version from:

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/network%3A/chromium/openSUSE_Factory/

and it is working fine.
