I am having a problem with chromium on 42.2, did not have this problem on 42.1.
I have five different profiles for chromium that is use --user-data-dir when launching. Three of them show this problem and the other two work as normal. Other users here are also reporting this problem.
When selecting text the text foreground turns white blending the text in to the background.
I have not submitted a bug since two of my profiles do not have this problem.
Here are my chromium commands. chromiunWork and chromiumPrivate do not have the problem all of the others do.
yes, I have the same problem using opensuse leap 42.2, plasma 5.9.90, KDE frameworks 5.30.0, KDE applications 16.12.1, Kernel 4.4.36-8-default, nvidia drivers,
That’s new. The space bar didn’t work in chromium. Anyway, your bug has been rolled into Access Denied. I found I could see the URL bar text when highlighted, but text on the page is still white.I also see it in openSUSE Tumbleweed 20170304. Switching to the classic theme is an immediate work around. In chromium, click the three vertical dots in the top right > Settings > Appearance > Use Classic theme. Mine had been set to Use GTK+ theme. Chromium 56.0.2924.87 (Developer Build) (64-bit)
I see your comment on the bug report.
You need to restart chromium after selecting “use classic theme” for it to correct text selection colour. It then seems to use some inbuilt colour for text selection and not the system colour.
