I had an extension i started making and had loaded in Chromium. Well i forgot to unload it and deleted the files for it. Well now Chromium crashes on startup saying it can’t find the manifest file for it. How can i remove the entry for that in the extension cookies file?
Delete the hidden folder here
.config/chromium
hey caf! how are you?
sadly i don’t seem to have any hidden folders in /.config/chromium
You are running chromium not chrome?
Well right at the moment i’m running chrome coz chromium crashes on start…it says it’s because of that missing extension manifest
ron@linux-mhhq:~> chromium
[25639:25639:55273968199:ERROR:chrome/browser/extensions/extension_error_reporter.cc(55)] Extension error: Could not load extension from '/home/ron/Desktop/Flash Cookie Extension'. Manifest file is missing or unreadable.
Segmentation fault
Look again in your home folder
View hidden files
Can you see a folder ‘config’ and in that ‘chromium’
rename chromium to chromium-old
Ah i thought you meant a hidden file inside the chromium folder…Sorry…I did rename the chromium folder itself and it starts but when i go to set up syncing it crashes again
when i go to set up syncing
I don’t know what you mean
In the prefs where you can sync your prefs and stuff

phani.
Never used it. I do things differently
Well i tried deleting Chromium entirely and deleting the sync info on the google dashboard site…deleted the chromium folder even after remving chromium and it still crashes…so that leads me to believe it’s something wrong with the latest version that was just available?
No

You’re using 64 bit? I’m not using that. I wonder if there would be any difference that would cause crashing?
Very unlikely IMO
And others would be reporting it me thinks
