Hello.
I used to be able to cast from my laptop to my chromecast device some monthes ago.
I think i was running opensuse 13.1.
Now i can t anymore.
it started to mess with leap 42.1 and it is the same with 42.2 now.
My version of chrome is chrome 60 ans my desktop is Gnome.
I was using KDE on 13.1 maybe it is related ??
Anyway i ve tried a lot of times to reinit the chromecast and although it is well recognized with my android smartphone and seen in my wifi network , Chrome navigator is enable to find it…
I ve red there is a parameter into chrome that can be enabled or disabled (media router) but it does not work for me…
If anybody could give me an advice ?
I have quite the same issue and I think it’s related to some config in SuSEfirewall2. I’m digging around it and if I’ll find a solution I’ll post it here.
Custom rules to add in YaST Firewall settings:
External Zone:**
IP (chromecast**** IP), UPD, Destination Port 32768:61000, Source Port 32768:61000
**This works to see the Chromecast in Google Chrome, still doesn’t work with pulseaudio-dlna, don’t know why (at the mo).
