Chromebook's crouton script for openSUSE?

The crouton script installs Ubuntu in a chroot environment on ChromeOS. You can run both Ubuntu and ChromeOS at the same time and switch between the two with a keyboard combination.
Just wondering if anyone made a similar script for openSUSE.

They don’t sell Chromebooks where I live but I might get one if they come.

chroot sounds dangerous

you must be running the correct chroot for your hardware,
the software must be compatible with Chromium OS’s kernel
who wants to run straight Linux on their Chromium OS device, and doesn’t care about physical security. and on and on here https://github.com/dnschneid/crouton/blob/master/README.md

Yeah, I’ve read those. The downside to that are drivers. I believe it said that the touchpad, sound, webcam, and touchscreen doesn’t work. With the crouton method everything works because they share the same kernel.

chroot sounds dangerous

Maybe I’m just ignorant but it doesn’t sound dangerous to me. It’s not any more dangerous than running a normal desktop Ubuntu. If there’s a root exploit for Ubuntu, it would affect me whether I’m using a chroot Ubuntu or a normal Ubuntu, wouldn’t it?

In other words, if you have a bootable flash drive with Ubuntu, Linux Mint, or pretty much any other operating system on it, you should be able to boot into that OS.
