Chrome and Java

And flash keeps crashing!

but the java, everytime i try to access my schools site i get this error. icedteanp plugin error: Failed to run /etc/alternatives/…/…/bin/java. For more detail rerun “firefox -g” in a terminal window

That is in Chrome, I don’t know why it says run firefox-g? It works fine in firefox but terrible in chrome. Any ideas?

You might be better switching to sun java

These are my java packages

java-ca-certificates-1-5.3.noarch
java-1_6_0-sun-1.6.0.u22-1.2.1.x86_64
java-1_6_0-sun-plugin-1.6.0.u22-1.2.1.x86_64
timezone-java-2010l-0.3.1.noarch

Have not experienced any Flash problems, but …

While I do not use Chrome, I just installed Epiphany (after a Gnome 2.32) upgrade. I had not used it in some time, but received the same “icedteanp …” message(s). Running “firefox -g” did nothing, of course. This occurred on one laptop running openJDK/IcedTea. The same has not occurred with Sun Java.

Ah what a simple fix =) Thanks alot

No problem
