Chrysantine already answered the original issue… you are removing the
execute bit instead of adding it.

In the future forget this entire thread and run the file without setting
it to execute:

sh ./Savage2Install-2.1.0.1-i686.bin

or:

sh /path/to/whateverFile.ext
