Changing Plymouth Theme For The LUKS Prompt

Hi,

I’m trying to get the breeze Plymouth theme to work properly. After installing the packages, I applied it using sudo plymouth-set-default-theme breeze -R.

However, the new theme only takes effect after I unlock the root volume. The password prompt still uses the bgrt variant (without scaling). After unlocking, the breeze theme works as intended with proper scaling.

I also tried a complete dracut regeneration using sudo dracut -f --regenerate-all but it’s still the same.

Any insights would be appreciated.

Running this 2 more times and rebooting fixed this for me.
