How can I change the package vendors from packman to vlc?

zypper se -si | grep -i packman
on last command I didn’t get output
That means you don’t have any packages from packman installed. If you don’t miss them I don’t see why you would have to add the VLC repo but here you can find the instructions for installing ffmpeg (and everything that gets pulled in by it) from the VLC repo:
https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Installing_ffmpeg_from_the_VLC_repository
Your packman repo is not enabled. If you are not using it you can also delete it.
This is probably remaining from the install and is pointing to the same URL as your repo 2 (OSS). I suppose you did an online install or switched from a different repo? You can disable this repo.
Just one remark: If you post such terminal commands/outputs please put them in preformatted text. That makes it much easier to read.
Here’s your output in preformattet text

his is probably remaining from the install and is pointing to the same URL as your repo 2 (OSS). I suppose you did an online install or switched from a different repo?
I did Online install and I did switched the vendor to packman and when I see the packman will be discontinued I disable it.
You can disable this repo.
The repo-oss?
That statement is incorrect. If you install some package from an external repo, disable the repo afterwards, zypper se won’t show the installed packages as it comes from a no longer existing repo.

:~> zypper se -si | grep -i Packman

That statement is incorrect. If you install some package from an external repo, disable the repo afterwards, zypper se won’t show the installed packages as it comes from a no longer existing repo.
Thanks for the correction, I didn’t know that.
@projectmirai39 that means for you, that you should enable your packman repo and run the last command
zypper se -si | grep -i packman
again.
The repo-oss?
No, repo-oss is needed. That would be number 2 in your list and has to stay enabled.
But your number 5:
5 | openSUSE-20260821-1 | openSUSE-20260821-1 | Yes | (r ) Yes | Yes | - | 99 | rpm-md | http://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss/ |
can be disabled as it also points to the OSS-URL. It’s basically a duplicate of number 2 that remained from the online install
that means for you, that you should enable your packman repo and run the last command
You don’t need to re-enable the repo. By using the global zypper option --plus-content(with the name/alias of a disabled repo) you can also search if you have installed any package from a disabled repo.
:~> zypper --plus-content Packman se -si | grep -i Packman
i+ | discord | Paket | 1.0.156-1699.257.pm.1 | x86_64 | Packman
:~> zypper lr -d

9 | packman-repo | Packman | Nein | ---- | ---- | - | 80 | rpm-md | https://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/packman/suse/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/ |
snip
Also not exactly correct. You don’t need to reanable the repo. By using the global zypper option
--plus-contentyou can also search disabled repos.
That is good to know. I should have looked into the man page but it didn’t even cross my mind that packages would not be found if the repo is disabled.
One more remark regarding packman:
If you are happy with packman until now and just planning to switch because it’s supposingly discontinued, you could also still wait and see what happens to the project. Even if it’s discontinued it will be active until end of this year. But that is just my opinion. I read a bit in their mailing list archive and I think it’s possible that somebody will take over and packman could continue.

How’s this? I disable the one that is duplicate as you said. So now I don’t need to do a command that will chage the vendor or something?
Edit:
One more when I did the command
zypper --plus-content Packman se -si | grep -i Packman
I still got no output. So I assume I’m good to go to disble packman right?
In my example i used “Packman” as in my test setup the repo name has upper case “P”. You need to use lower case “p”. In this case, zypper search is case sensitive.
You need to use the repo names and aliases from your system.
So you need to execute
zypper --plus-content packman se -si | grep -i packman
So now I don’t need to do a command that will chage the vendor or something?
That was unrelated to your initial Packman question. But yes, that ist what I meant.
As you are still having packman packages on your system like you said you have to options:
- Re-enable packman, use packman and see if it will be continued or not.
- execute the command from hui and post the output to see what packman packages you have installed.
# zypper --plus-content packman se -si | grep -i Packman

I got these software what do I with these software? Can I change the vendors of these software? And how can I do that?
The iscan packages are not available from the VLC repo. Some other user of iscan needs to help you out here.
For the libx26x*** packages you can perform a vendor change as example easily via Myrlyn.
Add the VLC repo via Myrlyn->Extras->Repository Configuration->Add->Community Repositories->VideoLAN
Restart Myrlyn.
Search for the named packages in Myrlyn via libx26. Mark each package and on the “versions” tab you can switch to the VLC vendor.
Just checked on the VLC repo. iscan is not available on the VLC repo. On packman it hasn’t been changed since 2019.
libx264-165 and libx265-215 are available in the VLC repo. Do you nedd the 32bit-versions? I couldn’t find thoese in the VLC repo.
Edit: sorry for double posting → too late
For iscan you can get an RPM package from the Epson vendor:
