- restting .dmr
- using Yast to change settings tghrough Manage Alternatives
- and of course, as the body of my message says plainly:
- I have the xfce pattern installed
Have you got anything else constructive to suggest?
You may want to tone down. A new user should provide informations when asked for. Or else one could believe you don‘t really want help.
PROBLEM SOLVED:
After all that, I simply shut it down and restarted (after 10 repetitions of log off/log in
Logically a user logout/login will not change the display manager that keeps running on the system level all the time. A restart of the display manager (which of course is forced by a shutdown/boot of the system) is required.
Maybe this explains to you why we need a thorough and precise description what you did to achieve your goal. Others will only be able to find out what you did not (in this case a boot) when you tell exactly what you did.
