Hello every one.
I have a probelm with systme language.
I have changed the system langaue from Yast- language to an (Arabic language) it worked, my desktop changed. Now , I want to return back to English, But I could not.the system seemed to deleted it.How can I get back my English-desktop?
Zaed,
Check again in Yast - System - Language
I checked it several times, English -us is not any more on the language list, there is a notic when click help in language telling me that the previous language is deleted becuase you don’t need it any more…
It got worse. after I tried to install other language, I did interrupt it, so now the button of start menu has gone and disappeared… I tried to got back by repairing file system from DVD. nothing changed…
I think it will be easier with commands, what is the command for adding, modifying the language system.?
Hi guys!
I’m facing a very similar problem: just installed OpenSuse 12.3 selecting brazilian portuguese as my default language, but almost everything is still in english. Tried changing first and second languages, files were downloaded, but nothing change.
Does anybody knows what can be happening?
Tks,
Rafael
I guess you are missing the correct language files.
Please enter YaST and install the bundle-lang packages for your language. (bundle-lang-common-pt, bundle-lang-kde-pt for KDE, bundle-lang-gnome-pt for GNOME)
If that doesn’t help, please specify which Desktop Environment you use.
Please do not:
- hang a new question at the end of a years old problem, almost nobody will see it;
- hang a new question at the end of a thread when it is not exactly the same problem, which can not be the case here, because in 2009 there was no openSUSE 12.3;
- do never doublepost, we hate split discussions where nobody knows what was answered in the other thread.
My advice: do start a new thread, in the best fitting (sub)forum, with e good telling title. That gives you the best chances that fellow users, knowing something about your subject, will anser you.
This thread is CLOSED now.
