The fastest way is by using ‘passwd’ in a terminal (as root, of course). It works self-explanatory.

Welcome to the forums. It may be worth pointing out that “Linux” (to be
overly pedantic) is a kernel. With that in mind distributions (OpenSUSE,
Ubuntu, Fedora, Slackware, Gentoo) are made out of the same nuts and bolts
but rearranged in various ways to cater to a certain need or demographic.
A lot of the command line stuff will be identical because it is all based
on commands from the old Unix systems. Why am I telling you all of this?
Expect a LOT of similarities. Tips/Tricks learned with one distro will
often carry over to another. There are big exceptions, of course,
depending on the distribution and the software installed. If you use
Gnome, don’t expect KDE commands to work, and vice versa. If you’re from
Ubuntu, don’t expect the ‘apt’ commands to work in SUSE, though they will
work in Debian (Ubuntu is based on Debian). If you’re using
Fedora/OpenSUSE/SLE/etc. the ‘rpm’ commands will work for package
management, though only SUSE has Yast. Anyway, there ya go. Welcome to
