can any one help me i was wondering how to change my default media
player from totem to vln media player.any help is welcome.i have open
suse 11.0 and i have amd athlon 64x2 if this is help full as well.i’am
using gnome desk top

I know in kde you just right click on media file and select properties,
then click the icon that stands for “Edit File Type” and in that window
you can set default player for specific file types. Maybe it is similar
in gnome.

well if i get a video in my email to look at it gives totem as the
default player.so in order for me to use vLc player i have to download
it to the desk top and then use vLc to watch it.
