Change KDE wallpaper

12.1 64bit KDE. How do I change the desktop wallpaper to a photo (jpg) I have taken?Thanks.

The standard ones are in /use/share/wallpapers but one I downloaded from the KDE site is in .kde4/share/wallpapers/ I presume adding there will make it appear when you select Desktop settings.

Drag the image to the desktop, let it go there. You will get a list of options, select “image” and it will become your wallpaper.

lol! It is allways easier as one expects it to be. And very logical, when one knows the trick.

EDIT: do not forget to unlock your widgets first.
