In the global section of /etc/samba/smb.conf add (or modify if it already
exists) the parameter “server string”
As an example:
server string = kahunet
or
server string = Samba on SuSE

venzkep is right. However some stupid Windows machines insist on caching the old value. I’m sure a web search will show you the place on Windows where the old value can be cleared.
