change display size

im running 800x600
and i want to run the next step up which is 1024x600

this is a desktop…now ive tried everything
i went threw system tools and couldnt get it out 800x600

Have a read hereshould help yopu get the drivers.
Once you have then you can run nividia-settings in a console as su to set the resolution

Ok, so it’s an external monitor(tv screen), maybe it (the monitor) won’t
support 1024x600 maybe only 768?

If it’s an external monitor, do you still have the cd that came with
it, when you run sax2, you can use this disk to add your monitor
(utility disk button). Some information on the external display would
help, manufacturer, model etc.

Also what is the output of the command;


xrandr
