Change desktop cube to different shape

Hello, I am wondering how to change the shape of the desktop cube to the sphere or cylinder? I was looking at the Compiz screen shots and would like to try that out. I looked through the forums here and was unable to find anything. Thanks!

have you tried looking through the compiz settings manager? Type ccsm in console and browse through the settings.

Yes I sure did, but could find nothing about changing the shape.

ccsm under the ‘deformation’ section

In ccsm click Effects on the left side the click the
Cube Reflection and Deformation on the right side.
The settings you’re looking for are under the Deformation tab.

Thanks a lot for the tip. When I looked at the Effects section in ccsm, I could not find the options you mentioned. So I went here: Compiz Fusion - openSUSE
and did a reinstall basically. Now I can see the Cube Deformation option and a whole lot more which I did not see initially.

Now I have enabled the necessary options, but am not sure how to switch from the cube to the sphere (which is what I selected). I am still seeing the cube. Any ideas?

Didn’t you see my post?
