cgroup support missing from kernel-desktop

Is it deliberate or accidental that cgroup support is missing from kernel-desktop in openSUSE 11.2
kernel-desktop-2.6.31.12-0.1.1 ?

This breaks LXC containers and makes it difficult to write a .spec file or init script or on-line documentation, since cgroup support is not a separately tracked feature that can be placed in the lxc spec file’s “Requires:” field. The closest I can come is to make the .spec/.rpm “require” kernel-default, then tell the user to either edit /boot/grub/menu.lst to make the new -default kernel boot by default, or tell them to uninstall kernel-desktop. But this isn’t really true. It just needs cgroup support enabled in the kernel and other kernels like -xen and -rt may have it.
