Cgroup support in earlyoom

Hello, i am wondering if the application Earlyoom will support cgroups anytime soon in upcoming versions?

Hello and welcome to the openSUSE forums.

I can not find Earlyroom in the standard repositories of openSUSE 15.4. That means you got it from elsewhere. You do not explain where you found it, nor how you installed it. We poor non-clairvoyant people are left guessing.

So please either tell us more about that application, or go to those who produce it or maintain it to ask for what they know about the future of it.

oh sorry about that, i installed it from zypper and i think the name is “earlyoom” instad of “earlyroom”

The package can be found in the packagehub repository

There is no official version for Leap. You may try Tumbleweed instead.

I checked openSUSE Software which says “There is no official package available for openSUSE Leap 15.4”.

Sorry, my fault. I can indeed find thepackage earlyoom in the Main (OSS) repository (no idea what you mean with “packaghub repository”).

It gives this as an URL: GitHub - rfjakob/earlyoom: earlyoom - Early OOM Daemon for Linux
Could that be starting point to contact the developers?

This package is imported from SUSE Package Hub. Of course, it may also mean that OP has SLE and actually installed it from Package Hub …

Does not explain me anything. No doubt that is my ignorance. Do you mean that is the source it comes from when someone incorporates the package in the OSS repo?

In any case, it is in the OSS repo. And I assume that is the place where it is installed from.

Yes. Do you mean you are not aware of how openSUSE distribution is managed since version 15.3? It imports directly binary packages from SLE.

If fact i do not care. My interface is with the repos provided.
