CDU680 modem in opensuse 64bits.

Hi, i’m sorry if all of you haved talked about my problem o problems like mine but i dont know anything of linux and i’m tired, sick of windows, i hate its malware and all the problems that brings, i’ve benn reading for a while so that i choose to use opensuse as my linux but i need internet on my computer and the only way i can get it is throuth my CDU680 modem of franklin and cmotech, but i dont understand the xplanation of other forums and i would like one step by step of my case. I use open suse 11.3 i guess and my sistem is 64bits. thanxs

It appears that you have double posted. Please do not do this.

To know what driver your modem would use, we need to know the USB IDs for it.
You can determine them by using a lsusb command. If that command is not found,
then you need to install the usbutils package with

sudo zypper in usbutils

It should be on the DVD.

If you post links to the other forums whose explanation you do not understand,
perhaps we can help you figure out what they are saying.
